IPWcarolinas.com caught up with IPW-Carolinas Chairman and asked what exactly is the Heritage Championship all about. He had this to say. .::Chairman::. Jacky Williams "The Heritage Championship is here to put respect and honor back into the world of professional wrestling. It's a lost tradition, especially when you stop think about all the great legends. People like Curt Hennig, Rick Rude, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, The Midnight Rockers, The Rockers, Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino, Larry Zabysko... So many great in ring performers, and in today's society, we don't have those anymore. So to bring it back, IPW-Carolinas has made a few rules that distinguish this title from others...
Rule one, during all matches there are to be absolutely ZERO outside interferences. To avoid this, all managers, valets, and partners will be sent to the back immediately.
Rule two, the title can change hands via countout or disqualification. If the match includes more than one person, he who uses the chair will be eliminated.
Rule three, the champion MUST defend the title at least once every four IPW-Carolinas Shows, or he will be stripped of the title.
Rule four, all Heritage title matches will have 20 countout limit, and a limit of 3 ropebreaks per person. Once the third ropebreak is up for a person, that person can no longer use the ropes to break the pin.
With these rules, we hope that the honor and respect of professional wrestling will be brought back into this sport.
